Color is Everything. Black & White is more!
Why do I love black & white photography so much?
First, black & white is cool. And SO classic. It showcases light and dark and allows you to focus on the subject. It tells a unique story without the distraction of color. The composition has to be good. And we all look good in black & white!
I also know I am newer in my photography journey and my style is going to change and develop over time. And don’t get me wrong, I LOVE love Love color. But like anything, photography is art. And my interpretation and my skill is going to change until I find my mastery.
Will it always be black & white? …maybe. But maybe not. Color is so subjective. Right now, sepia toned coloring is very big in family photography but it won’t always be so in vogue.
So when you like ALL the things, you edit. You edit it the most classic way to give yourself the most flexibility in the most modern of ways.
